So since we are only carrying on bags and wearing backpacks, we needed to get some great gear that could take this kind of abuse, be light, and stuff a lot more than meets the eye. I researched for months to find the right bag, and I came across RedOxx through some other world travelers on FlyerTalk. The only downside I have found is that it doesn’t have wheels, and is a shoulder bag. But the anti-grip strap is pretty hardcore, and I’m not bringing that much anyway. I also have a Victorinox backpack for all of our electronic gear (camera’s, laptop, cords, etc.).

Annemarie didn’t have any great bags either, so we got her an Eagle Creek Hovercraft 20, and she has been practicing for a week on how to pack it. She bought some of those packing cubes and folders to make it more organized, and it seems to work. She also got a North Face backpack at a steal when a store in accidentally labeled certain bags on sale when they weren’t supposed to be.ย  Good lookin’ out!
